Hey - we're still alive! If you've not been following our Twitter feed then you have been a long time in the wilderness, JetKing-wise.

The album is NEARLY done. Here's what remains to be completed:

1) Lyrics need writing and recording for 3 songs. Shouldn't take too long (famous last words!)

2) We need to kick the arrangements of a couple of songs into touch.

3) Once these are done, we need to sort out a weekend to get Mark's live drums recorded for about 6 songs to create a real backbone along with the programmed drums (some already done).

Its looking like being a 12 track album and as we keep saying, its a departure from the previous album in many ways; although there'll still be the usual programmed versus real drums stuff, the electronica is darker and dirtier, the bass is more pounding than before (as if it wasn't already!!) and the guitar is a lot more wandering and unusual in places along with the choppiness of old.

It WILL be worth the wait... and we're having trouble containing our excitement about it.

We've been beavering away with the new album for a fair old while now and have the tracks all written and the basics recorded.

We're going to spend a while fleshing it all out so bear with us. We want it to be as good as it can be and unfortunately these things take time. Its all a bit of an evolution (departure) from the old material and we want to get it right.

Once we have near-finished mixes of some of the tracks we will make them available for you to listen to online, we promise...

A big thanks to everyone who was at the Cooler on Tuesday night - the atmosphere was amazing and we'd like to thank you all for your support and for all the nice things you've been saying about the performance.

We'd also like to thank Morning Parade and DHP Concerts for giving us the main support slot and also Alto Rising, the band who opened the evening. If you missed them, check them out, they were awesome.

Just had confirmation that we can have a cheap list for our gig at the Cooler on Park Street, Bristol, on the 22nd of February (supporting hotly-tipped EMI signed band Morning Parade).

If you're intending going and want to pay less (???), just drop us a line on the contact page telling us you want to be on the list and give us your full name. The latest we can accept cheap list submissions is 10am on the 22nd.

After a year and a bit out of the public eye and a change of vocalist, JetKing are gearing up their first live foray in a while, shoehorned in amongst writing and recording their second, as yet untitled , album which will surface later this year.

The band will be supporting up and coming indie / electronica band Morning Parade (who have just signed to Parlophone) at the Cooler on Park Street in Bristol on 22nd February.
