JetKing are a Bristol-based band who play a blend
of guitar-based indie mixed with
electronica.
The band has a big and very diverse melting pot of influences and this goes some
way to explain why they are so different. Grooving bass, quirky guitars,
analogue
electronica, BIG drums and strong vocals complete the sound.
Originally a studio project only, the band
launched itself into the live circuit in summer
2007 to almost instant acclaim nationally, playing venues across the country
including
Liverpool Barfly, Plymouth Voodoo Lounge, Clapham Grand, Exeter Phoenix,
Bristol Thekla and the famous
Dublin Castle
in Camden to name but a few.
With two festival appearances in summer 2008, an
endorsement deal with instrument manufacturer
ROBERTS GUITARS, the
release of "In the Land of Monkeys"
on iTunes and a compilation from Matchbox Recordings, numerous tracks airplayed
on
radio stations all over the world and on Sky TV and an album on the way, things
are
looking good for the band.
