JetKing are a UK band based in Bristol. They specialise in their own hybrid indie / electronica music with attitude.
As featured on BBC Radio Bristol's "Bristol Uncovered" radio show on 25th August 2007.
JetKing's "Magic" EP is out now!
JetKing: a new breed of crimefighter.
A new world order reigns supreme. Its agenda? Musical mediocrity. Incensed by
this injustice, eccentric sonic scientist Vaughn Atkinson decided that enough was
enough. Something needed to be done. And fast. Well, soon, anyway.
Joining forces with Nick CHurch and Andy Thompson they came together to wrong the rights of an
apathetic society where music had been reduced to little more than vanity.
With their combined superpowers, they swore to never give up the fight for truth,
justice, fat beats, a nice bit of analogue synth, and above all else, a decent cup of tea.
JetKing sold out the Louisiana in Bristol on their debut outing, and have created quite a buzz on the Bristol scene.
The band have adopted a dark, comic-book / Manga visual feel to their artwork. This is in homage to the Manga character
JetKing (Jetto Kingu) who debuted in Japan in a comicbook in the 1950s.

Mel "the Melvyn" Atkinson (the sad, twisted a-hole) is a no good creep and has burnt all his bridges... AMEN
